After being made hypothyroid due to RAI treatment, I still feel that levothyroxine can do a better job of affecting the emotional and psychological side of treatment, too. At this time I feel that it doesn't work well with all areas of hypothyroidism's effects.

I have never had any problem achieving orgasm in my entire life and I am now 63 (female, athletic, in shape). This drug, at only 10MG/day, has left me a basket case. I cannot achieve orgasm no matter what I do and it's like walking around with a constant physical need that can't be satisfied. I even have SEX DREAMS!! This is beyond awful. I have had side effects that I attribute to Azor. My side effects include headache, dry cough, nasal congestion, insomnia, breathlessness. If I skip my Azor for a few days my insomnia, nasal congestion, and breathlessness disappears!!!

I was very depressed and had thoughts of suicide due to debilitating pain and loss of mobility, and was walking the floor at night, unable to sleep, crying, wishing I could die just to be free of the pain. There are a lot of reports about lower back pain and problems in the joints and muscles. This can apply to any statin, but effects seem to vary depending upon the drug and the person using it. There might also be some possibility of loss of memory. I have not experienced any of these personally, but it does make me feel a bit anxious at times. I am curious if anyone else has experienced anxiety or similar symptoms?
