I'm a runner and within 2 days of taking I had all my endurance and energy zapped. I was dizzy and it continued for months even after taking. I am now anemic and I feel all my problems started with this meds. I took it for 3 days and then a year later tried it again because my doc said it couldn't have been xyzal that caused my issues. Needless to say it did and I am still dealing with fatigue and anemia.

I use a mix of drugs as preventive for my "Cluster" condition one is Topamax. At first I was on 250mg and it was terrible as I lost weight, dizzy, total lack of concentration and at time could not even remember my telephone number or home address. No aftyer treatment I am down to 25mg (morning and 50mg night and I feel no side effects yet I still feel a slight lack of concentration, drowsiness and weight loss. This benzo is a joke! Doc's are just being cautious by trying these alternatives, thus, not having to prescribe Xanax, Valium, etc. Stand up and tell your doc the truth if isn't working the way you would think

When I get a headache or pain from my period, I take Ibuprofen and it takes away the pain temporarily. I recommend it because when it works great!

Started taking Topamax on vacation to gradually get up to full dose. Went very slowly--got to full dosage at about 4 weeks. I lost weight, but tried to stick with it because the migraines were so bad, but it only reduced them a little bit. At around the 4-5 week mark I was sitting in my living room feeling semi-suicidal and decided I should read the fine print on the side effects. I was given the first 2 rounds of injections at the advice of my OB/Gyn after the birth of my son. My health insurance then lapsed, so I had to wait on the third. I am 28 years old, and just had my first abnormal pap ever after having these injections. Upon further testing, I was diagnosed with high risk HPV (not sure of the exact strain).
