Treats the illness but not the underlying symptons. In fact, i believe since taking serc that the problem spread to my other ear . -More clicking and congestion apparent than ever before. I took this a few years ago and had HORRIBLE side effects and stopped it within one month. I developed horrible cramping, diarhea, blood in my stools. I also had severe abdominal pain that turned out to be kidney infarctions (like a heart attack in my kidneys) that was due to blood clots. The doctors could find nothing else wrong with me that would cause these symptoms. I stopped using NuvaRing and these symptoms immediately disappeared.

My blood pressure is back to normal. So that is great. But I'm experiencing many side effects I don't like and I may not be able to continue to tolerate - like really bad heartburn, loss of appetite, insomnia, swelling in extremities, painful joints, and others. I don't wanna die from high blood pressure.... but i feel lousy in a way I never felt before. So, I may need to try to a different med.
