The initial hair loss was much more than I expected - probably half my hair if I judged by the thickness of my ponytail and lasted longer than expected probably 9 months from the start of my taking it. I didn't notice it too much for the first 4-5 months but I was also taking prednisone then. After I stopped the prednisone about 6 months in with the Imuran the hair loss became pronounced. About 2 hours after taking the pill every morning I'm in a bad mood and it stays that way for most of the day. I have noticed that I am feeling more depressed and irritable... totally not me. I had a bad stomach bug and the dr, gave me this prescription to stop the abdominal cramping and diarrhea and it worked immediately after taking the first pill. I did get a little bit of blurry vision but not too bad. It also made me a little drowsy but I was taking it with phenergan also so that may be why.

Medication didn't digest well and as a result was lodged in my esophagus. This caused the lining of my esophagus to burn away and I was unable to eat or drink effectively for approximately 7 days. In addition, it caused me to be hospitalized and caused a great deal of pain.
