day 2, nausea,diahrrea, day3, nausea, day4, constipation and,symptoms eased somewhat, day 5,constpation, severe nausea, metallic taste, trouble eating due to nausea and lack of appetite.I am in day five and considering giving up the med and suffering the consequences. I wonder if this self inflicted torture is worth it.

Accutane has been the best thing for me. It has really cleared my face up and help me get confidence in myself. The only side effects that I experienced was dry skin, chapped lips, and dry eyes.

Like it, but wish there was something a little better. I feel like I should have lost more weight with synthroid, but instead, nothing ever changed after I went hypo from being hyperthyroid.

I too am hyperthyroid. I was prescribed carbimazole and had an allergic reaction with a skin rash which erupted within days. I then was prescribed PTU, propylithouacil which I initially took at a very high dosage, namely 12 tablets/day and after several weeks lost my taste completely and had bad headaches. My consultant reduced the dosage to two/day after 2 months as I had gone underactive. I gradually regained my taste but then developed pains in my arms so bad I couldn't sleep on my sides... Used for pain relief - Atypical facial pain - Having tried Amitripyline and Carbamozole without sucess (limited pain relief and too many side effects) I find I tolerate Dosulepin well and have acheived about 80% relief at a dose of 75mg per day.
