At first the drug didn't work. However when I started taking it regularly, same time everyday, it worked. My doctor told me to not drink anything 1 hour before I took it or 8 hours after I took it. That was a major pain and sometimes I found myself dehydrated.

It makes me feel better emotionally. I only have a slight increase in depression and some impatience. It makes me constipated. I sometimes have trouble going to sleep and staying asleep. I also sometimes have headaches. But overall it works O.K.

I suffer from a cold or allergies at least twice a year that results in lots of congestion, etc., you know the story. This is the first time I've tried Mucinex DM, or any Mucinex product, and so I am a little Leary after reading these reviews. I would agree with an earlier post that if you tend to run on the dydrated side you have to really, really start drinking water. Watch how much goes in and how little comes out.
