I have always been very bad about taking a pill daily (especially at the same time) so my doctor put me on nuvaring. I was very uncomfortable about the idea of putting it in and taking it out at first but it has not been an issue. Once you put it in you rarely ever feel it. I'm doing very well on the pill, i feel ok, but i found that i put on about 10lb. in 2 months. I'm looking into other options, so that i will feel better with myself.

I've used other over the counter stuff such as abreva, blistex, among other stuff, but nothing comes close to Herplex. As soon as I feel a burning sensation on my lip I take the Herplex and within 3-4 days is dry and gone..

Completely loved the convienience of the NuvaRing, seemed that every month the side effects got progressively worse, started out with a headache that lasted a week, then each month I would get a headache the day I would put a new ring in, eventually I ended up with severe diarrhea that I couldnt even eat and left me with horrible abdominal cramping. I took them for a short period this past fall. They weren't particularly effective. Not really any different from taking tylenol as far as aches went. The nasal congestion relief was minimal at best.
