My doctor is switching me to Luvox CR to see if it improves my difficulty with short term memory loss. I have also begun to have a terrible time waking up in the morning. In reading about Luvox it seems that it is effective without the memory loss associated with Cymbalta on occasion. As we lowered the dose from 90mg to 60mg there was not a really signifigant increase in short term memory so switching to Luvox CR is our next option. vI have been on Lyrica for Neuropathy for the past 5 and 1/2 years. It worked about 70-75% of the time for the first few years but now it works less than 40% of the time. My biggest problems with the Lyrica is the side effects-you name them I have them; weight gain (30-40 pounds), chills, night sweats, insomnia, depression, fatique, lack of motivation, memory loss, confusion, sleepiness, abdominal pain, GI bleeding, nose bleeds. I took this only once, and it produced extreme chest tightness, breathing problems, stomach problems, severe dizziness, and anxiety. Within hours of taking it, I felt like someone had a fist in my chest, my breathing was labored, and I was so dizzy I was knocking into the walls. I'm still having some of these symptoms (though quite reduced) after three days. I've seen others on other sites reporting the exact same symptoms, yet dr "not sure" it's the medication.

M/W/A 57yrs 6'+ 235lbs, was put on Simcor Sept 2010, due for first CBC since medication started next week. My triglycerides were through the roof, 500+, LDL was only 179, but HDL was in the basement, so DR put me on 1000-20 Simcor. He warned me of the "flushing" as he put it, and wanted me to take it at bedtime to limit this side effect.
