I do take 1000 mfg of OTC Niacin - quick release, which has been more instrumental in reducing cholesterol, and other lipids. This can cuase severe etching, if done on emply stomach, and whiteout taking aspirin 15minutes before.

I also had positive results in the first four days. Anxiety was controlled and I had a sense of well being. I am now in the fifth month and am continuing to see a huge improvement in both my mood and temperament. During the second week I did experience blurred vision and slight occasional dull morning headaches. it was kind of annoying have to take the antibiotics 2 times a day. plus the added fact that it messes with birth control, made things difficult. other than that it was better taking the meds instead of getting lyme disease

I have been taking this medicine for 2 years, for migraines, and I am now starting to really see problems. I have gotten to the point now that I am lossing my short term memory, even important events! Which makes me terribly afraid. Urinating is difficult as well. I am also very irritable. Another thing is blurred vision. I am seeing my doctor this afternoon to discuss other options.

Dear Friends, I came across this website while doing a yahoo search on simvastatin. Am glad to know, am not alone. I am 42, i was prescribed to take simvastatin for blood pressure on 17 Dec along with other drugs clopidogrel and omeprazole after my ct scan for heart chest pain. My ct scan came clean.
