The drug is highly effective and considered low risk. However, I tend to take medication only if it is really required. Otherwise, I try to avoid it if I can resist the fever/pain.

I took ONE shot of 3.75mg Lupron Depot prior to fibroid surgery and still have an enlarged abdomen / bloating / fluid retention nearly one year later. I weigh only 91 pounds but my formerly flat stomach sticks out like a baby bump. What's worse, it's very uncomfortable. My clueless doctor suggested I wear Spanx (what, forever?) and even that didn't hold my abdomen in. It's a hormonal issue. was on monopril for over 15 years. Must have become immuned because my pressure was not controled any more. Doctor put me on it 3 months ago and my pressure is best it has been.

I would prefer not to be on birth control, however, I have terrible cysts which will hospitalize me if I am not on the pill. Overall, I have had numerous complications. Abdominal, heart, chest wall, weight gain, extreme exhaustion, decreased libido.
