I was on 25mg for a year. I was fine. Doctor increased to 50mg a week ago and my head is about to explode. Headaches and migraines are driving me insane! Trying to figure out if that's momentary or not.

There are a lot of reports about lower back pain and problems in the joints and muscles. This can apply to any statin, but effects seem to vary depending upon the drug and the person using it. There might also be some possibility of loss of memory. I have not experienced any of these personally, but it does make me feel a bit anxious at times. I am curious if anyone else has experienced anxiety or similar symptoms?

I receive B12 shots from my doctor because my levels are low. I can tell a huge difference in my fatigue levels and energy when I need another shot. It makes a big difference and helps me to have more energy when I get the shots and keeps my levels at the right amount.

Started taking Topamax on vacation to gradually get up to full dose. Went very slowly--got to full dosage at about 4 weeks. I lost weight, but tried to stick with it because the migraines were so bad, but it only reduced them a little bit. There are so many different kinds of medications out there. You aren't just going to immediately find the right one for you. It's all about trial and error.
