This drug was a last ditch effort for me. It was trying this or having ECT which I am strongly against. I am happy that pristiq has given me much needed relief not only from depression but from anxiety as well. The only really awful side effect I had at first was nausea. It was very strong for about 3 weeks and then faded as time has gone on. I would recommend anyone whose tried other medications that haven't worked well for them to try this one.

I got poison ivy and used cortaid to alleviate the itch. It made it go away pretty fast and I was satisfied overall with it. In some of the open blisters it really burned.

All my life people described me as being laid-back and happy. But my first year of college I became sad and impatient and moody. Everyone thought I was homesick or having a hard time adjusting to school. When I went to the university clinic to get a new prescription for birth control they gave me a free generic. To everyone on NSAIDs...please be careful! My brother was prescribed naproxin (which is just prescription strength Aleve) for shoulder pain. The Dr kept refilling the prescription for 9 months which resulted in kidney damage. Over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs like Advil, Motrin, Aleve can be dangerous if taken improperly or long term. They aren't "safe" just because you can buy them without a prescription. From the first day I tried it, i had sharp pain in my nose. I tried to spray it in my nose in many different ways so that it wouldnt cause pain, like slightly away from my nose or inside my nose but spraying slowly. Nothing helped or made it better. So not only did I still have allergies, but I had tremendous pressure and pain in my nose.

Tried to reduce dosage to 5 mg per week. In a few weeks joint pain increased and stayed more intense until I resumed the regular 7/5 mg per week.
