I like using Lantus because it is long lasting. I only have to use it before I go to bed. Because it is long lasting I don't have to worry about my sugar spiking in the middle of the night.

I have light headedness but it is improving. I have noticed a decrease in my hematocrit but do not know if it is caused by the diuretic effect. I have also noticed a slight weight increase.

FYI Ladies - I have been treated for massive blood clots throughout my body because of Seasonique. The doc told me after 3 months I could go back to the gym - well went twice and developed lesions. I go to my son's FB game and within 30 min have 2nd degree burns. I am now on 2 inhalers because my pulmonary embolisms in the heat and humidity of summer make it virtually impossible to catch my breath. Seasonique isn't worth the risk. I was originally prescribed lortab for fibromyalgia pain. I was prescribed Lortab 10, 4 times a day but quickly began abusing it. It seemed that the longer I took it, the more I had to take to obtain the same pain relief. I abused Lortab for 1 year and as a result became physically and physchologically addicted and finally sought help at a drug rehab treatment facility. This drug is effective for acute pain but I would not recommend for patients with long term chronic pain.

After taking Lunesta several days, I noticed slight memory loss- had to be reminded of something I had previously said, could not remember if I had done something or not. I then started breaking the tablets, taking half the dosage to see if there would be a change, but did not continue long enough to notice a difference- somewhat relunctant to continue the medication.
