I started taking advair 250 because of coughing and some wheezing at night. It stopped the coughing and improved seasonal allergies, initially. Could not get into a deep sleep. Advair caused me to have an incredibly dry mouth. It lowered my immune system. I rarely get sick. I was sick constantly, I would just get better and would get sick again immediately. At first, the medication caused nausea, so the doctors reduced the prescribed dosage for me and since the dosage was decreased, nausea also decreased and went away. Prominent side effects included constipation and weakness and there were multiple other mild side effects that went away as the dosage was decreased more.

My daughter has received two doses/injections since last summer, since I have noticed a change in her well being. Got me out of severe depressive episode, but still experience afternoon depression sometimes. Don't like side effects either - cold all the time, OCD/paranoia/racing thoughts 2 hours before time for next dosage, extremely drowsy all day if take medicine in morning (have now switched to taking it at night). Because of afternoon depression, am also switching to new antidepressant to take with Geodon.
