I've been taking Agomelatine for around 4 months now (50mg per day) in a UK based clinical trial. I had taken paroxetine for 12 months immediately prior to this so feel I can make a good comparison between the two. Esipram (Lexapro) saved my life. I had suffered major chronic disorder for 18 years and no other anti-depressants helped. Some (Prozac) made it worse. I was taking tranquilizers every night and seeing a psychiatrist at least weekly. The anxiety attacks were horrendous and nothing helped. I still cannot believe the difference Esipram made. Okay, Day 1 was interesting. I broke in hives where I applied the testim. Note to beginners-only apply on shoulders and upper arms. I made the mistake of putting some on my collarbone and that's were it itches the most. I was using samples the doctor gave me but went to pick up the prescription from Costco. I spoke to the pharmacist and he recommended taking a benadryl when I apply the gel. It works for me since I'll be going to bed soon after. As for the side effects, I do feel a sl... It is making my hair fall out. I didn't know what was causing it at first, but I've narrowed it down. My hair is so thin now. I'm hoping it will grow back now that I've discontinued it. If anybody else has had this problem, please let me know, and let me know if your hair grew back. Thanks.

Benadryl relieves my allergy symptoms but the few times I have taken it actually have been to help me sleep. Unlike some may assume, taking it with Singulair (which I use regularly) caused no side effects. It also worked right away.
