Far superior to standard Metformin. Some generics cause horrible GI side effects which others such as Sun? do not. Glumetza's only side effects are mild, including mild stomach upset, some bloating, skin texture change, and hair thinning/hair loss.

Overall this drug was great. Even though I gave great skin now, my skin did improve. I thought my skin was really good to begin with but this just took things up to another level. I experienced a 12 pound weight loss and I was eating more then previous. I did have an increase in appetite but it didn't bother me because I was loosing so much weight. Instead of making me drowsy and tired, it makes me jittery and I can't sleep. It just makes me more aware of the discomfort I am experiencing.

I have taken nuvigil for about a year now. I have not had a problem with hair loss. As for sleeping, I don't normally have a problem. I too am a teacher and have difficulty with my summer's lack of routine. I know the medicine doesn't help as much if I don't take it right away in the morning. Also, I have started using the alarm clock to have a more consistent wake-up time; this seems to help too.
