While Loestrin in an effective birth control method, for me and several friends of mine that have taken it have found that this pill makes you borderline insane. I was crying for no reason, angry for no reason.. Sometimes I would start to cry and not even I knew what was wrong with me.

I developed Menier's in my early sixties. It took a while to control so that my specialist put me on increasing amounts of Betahistine. At six to eight a day it was mostly controlled although I had break- out episodes that put me in hospital overnight. I was also prescribed medication to control fluid , in my head, I guess. I am a 52 year old male. All negative symtoms are mild and could be due to other causes. If I stop taking Lexapro for a day or two I immediately notice reduced patience, being unduly bothered and reaction excessively to minor irritants and general non specific anxiety. In general I go from being a nice person to being very intolerant. Once I resume Lexapro these symptoms quickly go away (1 day).
