The drug is highly effective and considered low risk. However, I tend to take medication only if it is really required. Otherwise, I try to avoid it if I can resist the fever/pain.

I also had to switch from loestrin because of insurance and so far this pill has proved to be horrible. I have horrible migraines and stomach aches and my moods are incredibly up and down. I am extremely emotional and impatient and this is not like me at all! Also I've been very low energy and constantly feel like I need to sleep. This is month 3 and I'm calling it quits..

Even at the highest recommended dose, it doesn't work a full 24 hours. It does cause extreme drowsiness about 30 minutes to an hour after taking, so I take mine at bedtime. It is also quite expensive if you don't have insurance.

I had taken Advil on occasion in the past and was taking it this time to reduce inflammation in my badly sprained ankle. I had a reaction to it. It started with puffy feet and then swollen legs and then feeling bloated in my stomach. I was becoming alarmed but when I started having trouble breathing as my lungs were being constricted, I went to the hospital where they did several tests and determined that I was having a reaction to Advil. Tylenol has been a great drug that has benefitted me with my headaches, cramps and any pains I experience. It has also helped me to reduce my fevers and colds. I think it is a better choice of drug compared to Aspirin due to the more negative affects of advil. The active ingredient in Tylenol, paracetomal is the reason to its safe impact.
