Treats the illness but not the underlying symptons. In fact, i believe since taking serc that the problem spread to my other ear . -More clicking and congestion apparent than ever before. Side effects of serc outweigh having to combat vertigo attack entirely by itself. ( I didn't seek treatment for nearly two weeks in the hope it would go away by itself like it did before). I have been perscribed Vicodin many times in the past, but this most recent time was very odd. I have experienced many side effects such as insomnia, when I am sleeping strange dreams, and an all over itch for the first day or two that eventually subsided. Overall, this is an ok painkiller, but I find it is really only effective at the start, over the days it seems that it doesn't work as well.

I don' tthink that medication works for me. The way they advertise it on TV, you think it is going to work so well and have effects, but for me, nothing at all. I do not like medications anyways.

I too am hyperthyroid. I was prescribed carbimazole and had an allergic reaction with a skin rash which erupted within days. I then was prescribed PTU, propylithouacil which I initially took at a very high dosage, namely 12 tablets/day and after several weeks lost my taste completely and had bad headaches. My consultant reduced the dosage to two/day after 2 months as I had gone underactive. I gradually regained my taste but then developed pains in my arms so bad I couldn't sleep on my sides...
