Prozac made me emotionally numb and killed my sex life. In the long run, I don't think it's an ideal treatment for depression because you don't feel anything, even when you should.

just got put on 50mg but 1/2 a pill in the am and omg i only took this only once and already I know Im not continuing, I cant eat I have diarrhea and i vomited this is bad, I feel like I have the flue I cant function I guess it depends on the person who takes the med but I suggest not to!

I started out with 4 tabs a day but that was way too much. Doctor's PA told me to take 2 a day which was an improvement but side effects, although lessened, continued. I experienced restlessness, tongue sucking, mouth pursing, jaw clenching, rash on face, throat tightness with muscle spasm. I learned that these side effects over time can be life long. Not sure I want to continue this drug due to the bloating and concern about the long-term affects. Was off it for less than a week and the bloating went away--nearly 5 lbs' worth. What replaced it was the worst heartburn I have ever had in my life. Got my refill and now the bloat is back. Heartburn is gone, however.
