I have been taking Pristiq for 4 weeks and it has made a major difference in my quality of life. I did not experience any negative side effects but then everyone's body chemistry is different. I know a lot of people have been experiencing side effects from this, but I have had no problems from the shots whatsoever. I'm going to get my last dose in December. I don't like shots, but for me, that's the worst part of the experience. I want to prevent HPV and have not had any problems with some of the extreme side effects others are claiming.

Starting on day 1, had bad metallic taste in mouth, nausea, and chest discomfort-indigestion all day long. Started taking probiotic on day 3, also began taking pills with a half-glass of milk instead of water, and sipping on gingerale/ nibbling saltine crackers during the day - symptoms much milder now except the metallic taste is still strong. Am just finishing day 5.

I felt the Estring was the easiest way to resolve being the 1 in 3 who develop vaginal atrophy post-menopause. But over the course of time, my husband and I have found it necessary to remove it to have satisfying sex and I find it can slip out at unwanted times.
