prilosec otc worked fairly well for me. i'm not having stomach pains & heartburn as i was before. the only things i really noticed are i take the pill in the morning everyday. by the time it is the next morning, i feel the pain again until i take the pill. i'm hoping after the 14 day treatment that this does not occur because i will not be able to take the pills anymore. it is my 7th day on the pill & i've expierienced a piercing, stabbing headache in the back of my head & behind... There are a lot of reports about lower back pain and problems in the joints and muscles. This can apply to any statin, but effects seem to vary depending upon the drug and the person using it. There might also be some possibility of loss of memory. I have not experienced any of these personally, but it does make me feel a bit anxious at times. I am curious if anyone else has experienced anxiety or similar symptoms?
