User Comments about Pylera
08 Jun 2018 I'm wondering if my experience with Pylera set me up for chronic lymphocytic colitis, which I've had now for a year. It's suspicious to me to have taken this toxic feeling treatment, I ultimately got a disease similar to the Pylera symptoms: urgent diarrhea, unquenchable thirst, nausea, stomach aches.

05 Jun 2018 It was rough but I made it through. The worst thing about the medication was the metallic taste in my mouth.

13 Feb 2015 This drug, prescribed for Hpylori infection is HARSH. Every dose I ask myself whether or not I should go off it. One time I skipped a dose! Nausea, stomach aches, itching, unquenchable thirst, diarrhea, black stool, are some of the side effects. If you have to take this drug, prepare to feel awful and don't expect much out of yourself. Eating before the med seems to occasionally help. I feel like I'm poisoning myself and wonder if I'm doing any permanent harm. I can even smell the bismuth and taste it! My teeth hurt and my fingernails hurt. This drug regimen is not for sissies.

06 Aug 2014 I've been off of Pylera for 8 days, and I'm slowly feeling better. It was one of the worst treatments ever. Volums of diarrhea/loose stools 3x day, lightheaded, very nauseated, fatigued, loss of appetite....Still feeling the fatigue, and some urgency to defecate, and it resulted in painful fissure that I'm having to deal with. Thank God I was able to stay home for this, or else it would have been impossible. I failed the Prevpak, so this time, I went to a new Dr. I strictly adhered to this regimen as indicated by my Dr....No dairy, or probiotics with Pylera. I must now wait one month with NO PPI's or antacids of any kind, but went back on probiotics 2x daily with a yogurt. I know people have been through worse, but this brought me to my knees, and I hope it clears my system soon.
