I think it is a great medication that really helped me quit after almost 30 years smoking. But the first step to be successful is to really want to quit and then Chantix will help with the effects of withdrawal. In my case the side effects were not strong enough to take me out of the path to reach my goal. It is worth it to try.

I just finished my ten day treatment. I am thankful I was able to tolerate the meds with no serious side effects. However, it definitely was not easy!!!! The regimen is very difficult. I hope it eradicated the infection. I feel very weak and naseaus

At first I didn't really have any side effects.Then about a month into the pack,I noticed I was very irritable,moody,short tempered and slightly angry. I also noticed that the last week on each month my breasts were soo tender they hurt. I still get some cramps and pms.I am starting to wonder why am I even on these paticular kind. Micardis is very effective in lowering high blood pressure. Since I have been on the medication for approximately 1 month, it is difficult to say for sure if the side effects being experienced will disappear.
