I just recently developed seasonal allergies, so I've been taking this for a few months. I like it more than other meds, such as Benadryl, because it doesn't make you drowsy; you can actually take it at work.

At first I had difficulty with Procardia XL because it made my feet swell and turn an unnatural shade of bright pink. However, I knew that was a common side effect so I kept taking it. I saw a great improvement in the circulation to my hands and feet which helped me overlook some of the problems it caused like bloating and constipation. I take Tums for extra calcium, but I recommend not taking them on an empty stomache; typically, if I do, I experience (very minor) stomache pains.

I would get off of these drugs and go for acupuncture and herbal treatments. It's not worth the side effects. When I took lisinopril for 3 months, I felt like I had the flu the entire time. My BP was only high at the PCP's office because they always managed to tick me off before I got in to see the Dr, then had to wait an hour or more.
