I have been using Depo-Provera for about 5 years, and the experience for me has had pros and cons. While growing up I had very painful periods, and one year when I went in for an annual checkup the doctor had discovered a cyst on my ovary. Worst drug I've ever been on. Doctor won't change it and I'm always sick as a dog. I wouldn't recommend this drug to my worst enemy. No one should have to feel like this all the time. I'd rather just deal with the diabetes than have to be nauseated all the time.
