After I started taking Mesalazine together with Decortine ,the condition became better.I finished the therapy and after a few days the colitis has come back,complete remission of the decease. Now the situation is the worst.I am taking 3000 mg mesalazine per day.I have very strong abdominal pain,bloody diarrhea all the time,heartbeat,muscle cramping,gas etc. I am afraid that the Mesalazine does not doing its function and in my case I think that the side effects has been taking in action.

Phenergan with codeine was prescribed to me when I had an upper respiratory infection (a cold). I had a very bad cough and bad congestion. I only took it at night because it had a significant drowsiness effect on me. I had to take more than the recommended amount to notice an effect on my cough- and I didn't feel like it was much more effective than over the counter products- except for putting me to sleep. Site reactions were very bad, lumps and bruises that lasted for weeks. I developed Raynaud's syndrome and had white fingers almost daily until I switched to Avonex, no more problems. The flu like symptoms were horrible and the day after I had NO energy so I ended up being sick most of the week.
