I've been taking Mucinex DM for 3 days now and it has been working great. I'm suffering from either a sever sinus infection or bronchitis. The Mucinex has really improved my cough and the congestion feels almost non existent. I can tell when the 12 hours is up because all my cold symptoms begin to come back. I do experience the side effect of feeling "spacey" or a sense of euphoria. Most cold medicines make me feel drowsy, so this is new to me.

I was prescribed dexamethasone for severe inflammation in my tonsils when I had mononucleosis. I was unable to swallow and had difficulty breathing due to my enlarged tonsils, but the dexamethosone improved the swelling significantly very quickly. It made me very hungry, but I had also lost a lot of weight from my illness, so this side effect was not bad for me. I had dark circles under my eyes and difficulty concentrating while I was on the drug. I was on a low dose dexamethosone for abo... View full comment

Yes I think it would- as it blocks the message from nerve endings. I am female and completely lost my libido when on it.

I have experienced extreme incontinence after only 2 doses (1 2mg tablet and 1 4mg tablet).. I have been really really tired and confused and have had difficulty driving and remembering things I've done during the day. Needless to say I'm taking myself off this medication. I don't know why my doctor put me on it in the first place; I'm not schizophrenic.

I tried remicade for awhile and it worked for about the first year and then my symptoms started to return so I was switched to some other drugs but ultimately went back to the remicade as compared to the other drugs, it worked best. Then it was becoming more and more clear that the remicade was no longer working and I'm not going to start a new drug called Cimzia. This involves giving myself injections at home, which doesn't thrill me!

The medication is okay, it mildly decreases my blood sugar. But when my blood sugar is high, I take the tablets, and a lot of water, which increase urination.
