Generally my experience has been good as my blood pressure is now under control.. I am taking three other drugs; Simvastatin 20 mg tablets, 1 per day and Omeprazole 20 mg capsules, 1 per day and 2 Benedryl tablets per night. I have experienced some dizziness, some depression, several bouts of optic migraine, slight to medium daily constipation, some slight weight gain, some memory difficulties (could be age related). Although I did not experiance a lot of side effects my doctor advised me of blurred vision to problems with kidneys. Drink a lot!

I am having problems with swelling, rash, dizziness and left hip pain. I can't walk for more than 5-10 minutes before it feels like something is trying to rip my hip joint apart.. This pain didn't start until I had been on Benicar for about a week. ( I had tried another BP med and had swelling in both legs to the point of not being able to walk)

Adjusting to the side effects was very difficult for the first year and a half but the worse symptoms (diarrhea and fatigu. ) have abated a lot in the past year . The drug is completely controlling my disease, CML and I am very happy with it.
