The initial hair loss was much more than I expected - probably half my hair if I judged by the thickness of my ponytail and lasted longer than expected probably 9 months from the start of my taking it. I didn't notice it too much for the first 4-5 months but I was also taking prednisone then. After I stopped the prednisone about 6 months in with the Imuran the hair loss became pronounced. I only used it once and I had a terrible experience with it, even though for all intent and purposes it did work. The night I took it, I woke up in sweats and I starting vomiting pretty badly. I was also dizzy and I could barely stand. I was up all night, but the next day I was fine.

I only take this right before bed because I know that it makes me extremely sleepy. When I wake up in the morning though, my allergy symptoms are mostly gone. My nose is cleared out, I can breathe freely, and my eyes don't water. It is worth the sleepy feeling to be able to walk outside without sneezing and sniffling.
