To everyone on NSAIDs...please be careful! My brother was prescribed naproxin (which is just prescription strength Aleve) for shoulder pain. The Dr kept refilling the prescription for 9 months which resulted in kidney damage. Over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs like Advil, Motrin, Aleve can be dangerous if taken improperly or long term. They aren't "safe" just because you can buy them without a prescription. prescribed for compound fracture of left radius and ulna...caused severe nausea...discontinued use...started using as a pain killer before endurance sport training...far too addictive to continue...threw away remainder of prescription

Lyrica is ok for treating anxiety conditions like GAD. It works well but the confusion/dizziness at dosage above 300mg per day can be a problem. It does not have many gastrointestinal side effects but I find that it irritates a long term gastritis problem of mine. Lyrica is a good alternative for those who cant tolerate conventional antidepressants or those who would like to avoid the use of benzodiazipines.
