I've been on Effexor XR for over 4 years now. I have recently added Lithium to boost the Effexor XR and it is working well. Effexor XR has got side effects like all medication but it works for me. With Lithium added I should be able to lower the dose of the Effexor. I was on 375mg a day for major depression and the headaches were too strong so I dropped back to 300mg which is better. At first when I was taking Pristiq it seemed to be the miracle pill. I thought I'd hit the lottery but the longer I have been on it more negative than positive. I'm on 50mg per day and have been on it for 3 months. I'm experiencing headaches, mild seizures, dizziness, weight gain, insomnia, and depression that went away in beginning is now back again. I'm going to have to slowly go off it but if it starts out good that doesn't mean that it will stay that way. I'm going to try Prozac again.

I have taken this pill for almost 2 years now and have learned that my body likes steady state pills a lot more than tri cycles. The only side effect I had was a small stomach ache within an hour of taking the pill for the first couple days, and it was barely noticable.

While hospitalized for a severe kidney infection I received a morphine injection and felt a slight rush through my body. I was numb and couldn't feel a thing, was very comfortable. After leaving the hospital I felt nauseous (although I always feel nauseous when it comes to pain killers) and tired, but still very good on relieving pain.
