Unfortunately, I have had a real problem with hormonal birth control. I'm currently taking Microgestin, and while I'm kind of miserable on it, it's not as bad as what I experienced with Ortho. My only real complaint is that I have developed contact lens intolerance, and get red, gritty, painful eyes every time I wear my lenses for more than one day at a time. I only take this right before bed because I know that it makes me extremely sleepy. When I wake up in the morning though, my allergy symptoms are mostly gone. My nose is cleared out, I can breathe freely, and my eyes don't water. It is worth the sleepy feeling to be able to walk outside without sneezing and sniffling.

This has helped amazingly. I no longer get the painful cramps I used to get and I'm less moody during that time of month. Only side effect has been a very dry vagina. Makes sex tough sometimes, but not all the time.

I tried for 5 days,and had all the worst symptoms you can. I even lost my mojo. After 5 days I stopped taking the medicine cold turkey, got my mojo back, and during withdraw I had the nicest dreams. I am going back to 5-HTP and other naturopathic anti depressants. They worked best for me. Better then being high all day and not sleeping for more then 2 hours at a time.
