After my two surgeries (few years apart) I received Vicodin on both occasions and yes, it did take away a great majority of the pain, however, i was puking nonstop due to the nausea that my doc only advised me to take if absolutely necessary since I was so sick due to it. Phenergan does what it is supposed to do, I only wish that it didn't make me sleepy. I am very satisfied with the fact that I was able to take it during my pregnancy.
