Helped with swelling around my joints, however caused severe stomach pain after I had been taking it for a few months. I had to quit taking the medication and take another to repair my stomach lining.

Pristiq is a terrible antidepressant drug!!! I had severe headaches, vision problems, edginess, anger, bitterness, insomnia, shakiness, felt like I was going to snap. I sobbed all of the time. Thought everyone was against me. Thank goodness I stopped it. Changed doctors and got straightened out with Lexapro. Unfortunately, I just found out my sister is on this drug from hell. I've used Metformin for about two years now. I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), and was prescribed Metformin in order to help me keep my weight down and decrease my apatite; I am also on birth control. Both pills are keeping my menstrual cycle regular. The only thing that is bothersome about Metformin is that, for the first few days when starting up the pills, I get nauseous and have an upset stomach/diarrhea, but it's nothing that Pepto-Bismol can't handle.

From all the medications I took, this is the only one that could help me cure to my flu, and I would recommend it to anybody who has flu. Concerning the side-effects, I think it depends on each individual. For me, I didn't have that much complications.
