This drug also works as an 'antispasmodic' (slows digestion) making it a godsend for those of us who have had Ulcerative Colitis, Chrones Disease, IBS, Colon Cancer, etc. -related surgeries. I have been on Mirena since November of 2009 and I have never been so disappointed in my life.
