Nexium has helped take away my acid reflux. If I don't take it for a few days, I have really bad acid and heartburn. My acid is really, really bad, and I have tried many different medications and none, except for Nexium, have worked. It is the only one that has also taken away my stomach pains. I would recommend it for everyone.

I too am hyperthyroid. I was prescribed carbimazole and had an allergic reaction with a skin rash which erupted within days. I then was prescribed PTU, propylithouacil which I initially took at a very high dosage, namely 12 tablets/day and after several weeks lost my taste completely and had bad headaches. My consultant reduced the dosage to two/day after 2 months as I had gone underactive. I gradually regained my taste but then developed pains in my arms so bad I couldn't sleep on my sides... I take carbimazole and had very swollen eyes.A very good specialist opperated on them and took away all the fatty tisue.The difference it made to my self confidence is imeasurable.I could not thank this man enough.That was twelve months ago. I am still on carbimazole and so far my eyes have not swolen again.Im still having double vishion but only when i walk alright sitting down.
