I've been taking this for over a year. At first like with any birth control I was nausea"s the first month when taking it but you solve that by taking it before bed duh! I love it haven't gained weight, start my period one day after stop taking it instead of waiting days and I didn't get mood swings or any other side affects

My thyroid lvls were low so doctor prescribed this to me 25 mg. once a day. I noticed a weight gain immediately, headaches, severe joint pain, my throat felt swollen or like a lump was in it and overall negative effects. I'm 33 this year and have been using Mirena for 4 years 8 months after having my 2nd child. The insertion was a bit painful and I felt cramps after that, but it didn't last long and was bearable.
