Mirena is incredibly convenient. The worse part would be the "installation". I experienced some cramping that same day, along with some spotting over a period of about a month, maybe two. After that, it has been such a peace of mind knowing that I don't have to "remember" to take my pills or that I have to double up this day, etc.

I had taken Advil on occasion in the past and was taking it this time to reduce inflammation in my badly sprained ankle. I had a reaction to it. It started with puffy feet and then swollen legs and then feeling bloated in my stomach. Tylenol is currently a monopoly drug that is commonly used for reducing fevers safely. So far, when I was hospitalized for high fevers, they gave me tylenol. Afterwards, there were no other medications that they can give to me to reduce my still raging fever besides packing me with ice.

Although the drug did it's job is lessening the pain, I am always very reluctant to take it because of how drowsy it makes me. Although I can tolerate it better, I still feel like I am movie extremely slowly compared to everyone/everything else when I take the medication.

I was very happy with Yasmin, until I started having full-body numbness. I went to several doctors who ruled out thyroid problems, not enough B-12 or Iron, and nervous system problems. Then I read up on numbness being a symptom, asked my doctor about it and she changed me over to Sprintec until I figure out what birth control I want to go on long-term.
