My doctor, after drawing and evaluating my blood, suggested that I take an iron supplement. The supplement was an over the counter one, having 150% of the daily value of iron needed in a healthy diet. Since I hardly need meat, she suggested that I buy something with a percentage that high. I have hypertension since 1994, and I used to take another drud which is 7 times more expensive than Bendroflumethiazide. The previous did not work, I was always tired, a;ways fainted, and so many other associated indesirable side-effects, and no decrease in blood pressure. But since I started Bendroflumethiazide, my blood pressure is normal, stable, and I feel much better.

I have been told to take stool softeners and the occasional laxative to help with constipation which worsen the bladder feeling. For the past month I have taken 3 stool softeners every night before bed time and the don't help. The stool become so hard, when I wipe I find blood from the lining.
