I was on the study that had Enbrel approved by the FDA. I received great care at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston, MA. I was willing to try anything to improve my desperate health situation. When I joined the study I was basically bedridden. The risk of side effects is well worth the relief from pain and the regained mobility. During the 7 years of trying exsisting medicine before Enbrel was invented I suffered serve joint deformity mostly in my hands. I have since had 6 hand surgeries... View full comment

I was quite distressed that I had to come off Celebrex. I experienced an ulcer and upper GI bleeding. Previously, I was taking Tylenol and Ibuprofen for arthritis but the Ibuprofen was hideous and I also experienced an ulcer. Celebrex was the last NSAID in the arsenal for treatment of my arthritis. My knees and back are far worse and I have limited mobility and a higher level of pain now.

Moderately effective pain relief, but wasn't strong enough for my specific case. I was in recovery from an internal-external hemorrhoidectomy, which is extremely painful. My surgeon recommended Oxycontin or Percocet, but my physician, knowing my history, advised against prescribing a more addictive drug, knowing my potential for dependency.

I have been taking zoloft for 4 months and started off with 25mg then increased to 50mg and now I am on 100mg. I can definately feel a difference with anxiety and feel more outgoing. I took another medication which made me have hallucinations for 5 days. I then had to seek a phychiarist who put me on the zoloft. I didn't take the zoloft for the first week because of what might happen to me again but my therapist convinced me otherwise. If anybody wants to consider and take the zoloft it has c... Over the few months that I took Cymbalta it slowly got rid of the clinical depression. I am male and I had increasing hot flashes several times a day at the end when I stopped taking it. I haven't had any problems since while being off the medication. I had no problems stopping the medication.
