I was prescribed prednisone for two months to help with colitis. I developed Avascular Necrosis of the hips within 12 months due to this drug. I needed to have my hips replaced at age 31. They said it is a rare side effect, but it isn't rare enough.

Pristiq is a terrible drug. It made me feel like I was on an upper. I had more anxiety with it than without it. DO NOT stop this drug cold turkey. LIke with Effexor, you will have terrible discontinuation effects, including brain zaps.

I am on day 8 of prevpac for h pylori gastritis. Diarrhea, strange taste in mouth and dry mouth started from day 1, but they did not bother me so much. From day 6 I started stomachache and severe fatigue, tachycardia. I am wondering whether I should stop the med. I learned that in Japan this same combination of medications are prescribed only for 7 days as the standard treatment for h pylori and there is much higher incidence of h pylori infection in Japan. Well i took 2 tablets of mucinex DM before i went to school like a week ago because i was having small cough, but alot of congestion and nose dripping in back of throat. it was doing fine up till 4th period then it must have really hit me.. i felt like i was in some kind of high. Really calm, not talkative and hard consintrate on one thing. i felt high. I didn't like this feeling AT ALL! so i stopped. it wasnt a marijuana high it was like a very calm weird one. dont recommend it!
