When I was first prescribed Solpadol, everything was fine. It treated my headaches very effectively, there was some drowiness and confusion, but that was to be expected with a strong painkiller. As time has passed on and my health hasn't got any better I'm still taking the tablets under direction of my doctor. Now things are a little different. This pill has given me nothing but problems from the start. During the first few months I experienced weight gain, very sore breasts, mood swings, and worst of all hair loss. I would lose large clumps in the shower everyday. Also my periods were completely erratic. I was more regular when I was on no birth control. I was devastated that when I realized that Morphine was completely ineffective on my pain because at the time I was taking morphine, I was allowing my mother who was dying of cancer to be put on it. Now I am unsure of whether this was even helping her, and it is upsetting to even think this morphine was doing nothing.
