I took Yasmin thinking it would give me almost identical benefits as Yaz, and Yasmin is available generic (whereas Yaz is not). However, within a month of taking this oral contraceptive my physicial and emotional state got much worse. My appetite was out of control, I ruminated over everything, etc.

I'VE BEEN TAKING LIPITOR FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS. ALSO SOMETIMES IF I HAVE A HEADACHE I WILL TAKE EITHER ADVILS OR A GOODY POWDER,I'M NOT SURE,IF THE LIPITOR WOULD CAUSE SMALL BLOOD VESSELS TO BREAK OUT ON MY ARMS OR IF ITS THE COMBINATION FROM THE ADVILS OR GOODY POWDER,I'VE TAKEN ADVILS AND GOODY POWDERS WHEN NEEDED FOR YEARS BEFORE EVER TAKING LIPITOR.WOULD ANYONE KNOW?? I am experiencing a severe skin reaction. All of face and upper chest area ( exposed to daylight ) is a very pinky/red . The affected skin area is tingly and feels as though it has been burnt. I have been to my GP who prescribed Hayleve which I took for 3days and the redness subsided . On stopping the 4mg 4x day the condition is recurring. I developed a thyroid problem , I was taken chantix for 6 weeks. I totally blame the drug. I had blood work every 6 months with no issue. Now I have to take a thyroid med every day. Women need to get blood work before taking this medication. I still smoke and going back to the patch. Many more lawsuits will happen with drug.

Update. The worry over Lantus is over for me. I tried Levemir for a couple of months, before switching back to Lantus as it made no difference to the pain. Then I had a diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) a few weeks ago. This was after several visits to my doctor and a rheumatologist, blood tests and a radiological bone scan. I'm now on a lowish dose of prednisolone (10mg/day), with calcium (800mg/day) and alendronic acid (70mg once per week) to protect my bones from the steroid. Most... View full comment
