It worked better than Cymbalta, but does not come close to the efficacy of Effexor XR. I was hoping for mood improvement like Effexor XR used to provide, but all I experienced was a mild improvement over the Cymbalta. Disappointed overall with its performance and ready to try something else.

I had been having a hard time breathing for a few months and, knowing that I had asthma, I decided to get a refill on my inhaler. ProAir HFA helped me finally catch my breath and I've been sleeping much easier and waking up feeling more rested. I also have the energy to get things done and I am no longer out of breath when going up a flight of stairs.

So far so good for about a month, & with no heart palpitations--but I am only taking one a day in the morning & with FOOD, such as cottage cheese. I feel a lot better because everything is not hurting all the time......its doing an amazing job & I have taken no "NSAID's" (Advil, Aleve, Naprosen, Ibuprophen, or Aspirin) or Tums, Mylanta, pepto bismol for over a month. At 67, I say, hurray!

In 3 years our son has only had Risperidone. We knew nothing about the illness and unfortunately this med has not helped greatly. He is on B3, B6, B9, Vit C, Vit E, Manganese, Zinc, Selenium, Omega 3 etc as per Hoffer's Orthomolecular programme and he is getting better slowly. I also give him Seagreens. I use Aleve occasionally for general aches and pains. It is effective as a muscle relaxer, especially after running and excercising. I have never had a side effect from using Aleve.
