So far, it seems to have helped lower my choesterol, and I haven't noticed any side effects. I was taking 10mg daily, but I was concerned about possible liver damage and requested my doctor lower the prescription to 5mg.

the medicine worked well in the beginning for about 8 months, during stressful times, this does not work at all. and now that i have been using for about 1 year.. symptoms... hot flashes, irritability, stress, bloating are worse....

My mother was prescribed Actonel by a visiting locum within 48 hours she experienced a tingling sensation all over her body, followed by horrific pain in all her joints which has continued for another 3 weeks and is ongoing. She is also experiencing night sweats, often having to change her pyjamas twice during the night. She is 72, has diabetes and hypertension. Once I started on the Lexapro my suicidal thoughts and feelings of hopelessness were no longer an issue. I loved being able to sleep at nights again. I have had great results with hardly any side effects. The cost is very expensive so I tried other meds hoping to get the same results but other meds were not as successful; prozac did nothing for me...still weepy and depressed.
