I quit Lipitor almost 3 years ago. I was very close to not being able to work and had already had to give up all social contacts, was afraid to drive anymore and less than a year away from being on disability and not know WHY! My doctor has had me try several different medicines for Bi-Polar disorder. We settled on Depakote because it seemed to do an adequate job with fewer side effects than the other medicines. It seems that since I have been taking it, I have started having more side effects. I have extreme hair loss (although it does grow back) and kidney pain. I have a constant fatigue. It has not made me feel better or "normal".
