I started experiencing chest pain, or acid reflux a few weeks ago. My mom bought me Prevacid; I don't recommend it..it helps but only for an hour or so.

Sometimes my throat gets coated in mucus, but I feel that is a result of my cold and not the medication. I am really satisfied with Mucinex. It is the only thing that really takes care of my cough.

Lolav, I find that for sleep the alternative therapies work better and with less side effects then the pharmaceutical approach. I suggest you check with a health food store to see what they recommend. Valerian is good and so is just plain old hot milk before bed. There are stronger Ayurvedic or Chinese herbs that you can Google- some are common and some you have to go to India for. I have used creatine for muscle mass building purposes. I would take the supplement immediately following my workout routine. I am fairly satisfied with the results of the supplement, as I have been able to increase my strength gradually over the past few years. I noticed a significant drop off in my energy (usually equating to as much as 10 pounds off maximum bench press) when I had not had creatine the day before.
