For the first year that I was taking Yaz it was great - regular and much lighter periods, zero cramps, zero PMS. After 7 open heart surgeries I had to take prednisone. The hunger and mood swings associated with this drug were awful. I gained a lot of weight, especially in my face. I also had diabetes while on the medication. But they say the medicine has its purpose.

I took the pill for four months my period was irregular and it didn't help with anything except keeping me from getting pregnant. I started t have pain in my chest and found out I had blood clots in my lungs and neck. I am young healthy i don't smoke rarely ever drink watch my weight, even my doctor was surprised to find that sever of blood clots. Now i can no longer take anything with estrogen.
