My daughter was given Yaz because she had horrible cramps and fatigue during her periods. Within 3 weeks she had pain in the back of her thigh - mostly while walking up stairs. I found that I am very sensitive to sunlight, much more so than with regular Doxycycline, and need to use sunblock. When I first started taking it, I was out in the sun all day and applying 55 sunblock periodically, and the next day started itching where the sunlight had hit. The following days, it became red and then rather scaley.
